谈谈英语中的倒装

    在英语中，主语和谓语的语序通常是主语在前，谓语在后，但有时谓语的全部或一部分却提到主语的前面，这种语序叫做“倒装”前者称全部倒装后者称部分倒装，倒装的原因，一是语法结构的要求，一是为了语调。现从全部或部分倒装进行归纳。

    一、下列情况用全部倒装

    1、用于there句型

    There are many students in the classroom.

    There will be a football match this afternoon.

    2、用于here(there,now,then)+vi+主语或out,in,up,down,away等副词开头的句子里。

    There goes the bell.

    Here comes the bus.

    Now comes your turn.

    3、当句首状语为表地点的介词词组时，也常引起全部倒装。

    South of the city lies a big steel factory.

    From the valley came a frightening sound.

    4、表语置于句首时，“表语+系动词+主”

    Present at the meeting were professor White, professor Smith and many other guests.

    Gone are the days when they could do what they liker to the Chinese people.

    Among the goods are Christmas trees, flowers, candles and toys.

    5、用于so nor . neither开头的句子。

    He likes rice very well, so do I.

    We saw the film last week, So did they.

    I have never been abroad. Neither has he.

    I didn’t read the notice on the blackboard, nor did he.

    6、为了保持句子的平衡，或为了强调表语或状语或为了使上下文紧密衔接。
    They arrived at a house, in front of which sat a small boy.

    In a lecture ball of a university in England sits a professor.

    二、下列情况用部分倒装

    1、用于疑问句。

    Do you speak English?

    Have you finished your homework?

    2、用于省略if的虚拟条件状语从句中

    Had you reviewed your lessons, you might have passed the examination?

    Were it to rain, I would stay at home.

    3、用于“形（名、动、副）+as(though)引导的让步状语从句中。

    Pretty as she is, she is not clever.

    Try as he would, he might fail again.

    Difficult as was the chemistry homework, it was finished in time.

    Child as he was, he had to make a living.

    4、用于no sooner….than, hardly….when, not until…,not only….but also这些句型中。

    Not sooner had she gone out than the telephone rang.

    Not until the teacher came did eh finish his homework.

    5、用于否定句开头的句子中（hardly, never, not, little ,seldom, scarcely, barely等）

    Never shall I forget it.

    Not a single mistake did he make.

    Not only was there no electricity, but also no water.

    6、only修饰的副词，介词短语或状语放在句首。

    Only then did I realize that I was wrong.

    Only in this way can you learn from your friends.

    Only when the war was over in 1949 was he able to get back home.

    7、祝愿的句子。

    May you succeed.
