Housekeeping(客房管理)

Housekeeping department, together with rooms division, food and beverage department, auditing department and the engineering department, make up the five basic deprtments of a hotel. Ii is responsible for cleaning the guestrooms and making them look clean,tidy,well-appointed and confortable. The housekeeping department also dose such work as to set up and to take apart banquets, exhibitions, conventions and conferences.
the housekeepina department is headed by the executive housekeeper and its staff includes housemaids, housemen(room boys), floor clerks, porters, linen room attendants, and seamstresses, and in Some hotels the painters, plumbers,general maintainenace mem and window washers. such housekeeping staff as porters, floor clerks, house-maids and room boys all have direct contact with the guest and contribute to the guest's Overal experience with the hotel. The job of a housemaid or housenan is cspecially important,
for a confortable, clean, quiet and well-appointed room with a large soft bed is what every traveler looks for at the end of his/her journey or a day's sightseeing. Even such trivial carelessness as an unemptied ashtray or waste basket, an inproperly cleaned bath tub, or an unthoroughly dried bed sheet can upset a frazzled guest and thus affect his / her
impression of the hotel.

Housemaid: Anything the matter, sir?
Guest: Could you bring me some more towels, please? These here are too damp.
Housemaid: I'm sorry I didn't notice that, sir. I'll bring you some dry ones immediate!y.

Housemaid: Housekeeping. Mey I come in?

Guest: Yes, please.

Housemaid: When would you like me to do your room, sir?

Guest: You can do it now if you like.I was just about to go down for my breakfast when you came. But before you start, would you do this for me?

Housemaid: Yes, what is it?

Guest: I would like you to go and get me a flask of hot water. I need some hot water to wash down some medication after breakfast.

Housemaid: I'm sorry that you flask is empty. I'll go and get you another flask That's full at once.

Guest: Thank you.

Housemaid: I'll be right back.

Guest: Excuse me,but could you do something about the air conditioning in my room?

Floor Clerk: Yes, sir. What's wrong with it?

Guest: There's no cold air coming out from the sir conditioner and the controlknob dosen't work.

Floor Clerk: I see. I'll report it to the maintainence. We apologyze for the inconvenience. Anything else, sir?

Guest: Yes. Do you have large slipers than the ones I have in my room? They are too small for me.

Floor Clerk: I'm not really sure, sir. But I'll try and see if I can get you a pair of lager ones.

Guest: One more thing, I also nead a couple more of hangers.

Floor Clerk: I'll fetch you some more rightaway. Is four enough?

Guest: Yes, that's more than enough. Thak you.
