'Forbidden City' on National Geographic

　A Chinese documentary on the Palace Museum, or the Forbidden City, is to be shown worldwide on National Geographic channel.

　　"The Palace Museum," jointly filmed by China and US-based National Geographic, was produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the museum.

　　The documentary portrays the museum from both scientific and artistic perspectives, presenting the audience the true picture of its history.

　　National Geographic has also participated in the revision of the international edition by making it better suited to overseas tastes.

　　Wei Jingyi is the vice president of China Business Development Department with National Geographic.

　　"We have conducted a pre-sale overseas for all international editions produced by National Geographic. We are very confident of the promotion."

　　The documentary will be shown on National Geographic Channel in North America at the end of this year and publicized worldwide at the same time.

　　The Palace Museum was established as the imperial palace for China’s last two feudal dynasties, the Qing and Ming Dynasties.
