Acoustic Ladyland 乐队

Acoustic Ladyland is one of the most exhilarating bands on the currently buoyant London jazz scene. Taking their original inspiration from Jimi Hendrix’s finest hour, the quartet offers a genre-bending blast through punk, drum and bass, underground rock and post-Coltrane jazz, juxtaposing passages of cool reflection with full-on spiritual assaults on the senses. Formed by the soulful, BBC Award-winning saxophonist Pete Wareham and featuring the innovative keyboardist Tom Cawley, the assured, swaggering bass playing of Tom Herbert and the explosive drumming of Seb Rochford, Acoustic Ladyland leave audiences pole-axed but smiling with their of raw brand of musicality and maverick tendencies.
