　　1. Amendments to Annex I of the CSC

　　。1 Amend Regulation 1， 1（b） to read：

　　“On each container， all maximum gross weight markings shall beconsistent with the maximum gross weight information on the SafetyApproval Plate”。

　　。2 In Regulation 1， delete 1（c）。

　　。3 In Regulation 1， add a new 1 （c） to read as follows：

　　“The owner of the container shall remove the Safety Approval Plate onthe container if：

　　——the container has been modified in a manner which would void theoriginal approval and the information found on the Safety Approval Plate，or

　　——the container is removed from service and is not beingmaintained in accordance with the Convention， or

　　——if the approval has been withdrawn by the Administration.“

　　。4 Delete the two last sentences of Regulation 2， 2（d）。

　　。5 In Regulation 2， delete 3（d）。

　　。6 Add a new Chapter V as follows：

　　“CHAPTER V-REGULATIONS FOR APPROVAL OF MODIFIED CONTAINERS

　　Regulation 11 Approval of Modified Containers

　　The owner of an approved container that has been modified in amanner resulting in structural changes shall notify the Administration oran approved organization duly authorized by it of those changes. TheAdministration or authorized organization may require retesting of themodified container as appropriate prior to recertification.“

　　2. Amendments to Annex II of the CSC

　　。1 In the description of test 1. （A） （Lifting from corner fittings），add the following sentence under “Internal loading”：

　　“In the case of a tank-container， when the test weight of theinternal load plus the tare weight is less than 2R， a supplementary loaddistributed over the length of the tank is to be applied to thecontainer”。

　　。2 In the description of test 1. （B） （Lifting by any other additionalmethods）， add the following sentence under “Internal loading”：

　　“In the case of a tank-container， when the test weight of theinternal load plus the tare weight is less than 1.25R， a supplementaryload distributed over the length of the tank is to be applied to thecontainer”。
